With the warmer weather, we’ve been enjoying some special outings in the local community.
“Nanyima is nestled in a beautiful green valley, close to rainforests and national parks and our residents love getting out in nature,” says Manager, Bien.
Residents loved their scenic drive to Mackay recently where they spent the morning exploring the Botanic Gardens’ tropical rainforests and cultural themed gardens, followed by delicious fresh lunch at the café overlooking the expansive lagoon.
Resident, Judy, enjoyed the day. “The drive, the walk through the gardens and the view of the lagoon during lunch were all lovely. And, we’re very grateful for the company and help from the volunteers who came on this outing with us,” she said.
We also loved our trip to Annie’s Nursery, where we strolled through the beautiful plants and flowers before enjoying a delicious morning tea together and browsing through the gift and second-hand shop.
Resident Gloria loved getting out and about and meeting people in the community. “It was a lovely morning. The roses were beautiful and the scones and cream were yummy!”
